Solutions for Elementary and Secondary Schools, Community Colleges and
Universities
Our energy savings programs for elementary and secondary schools, community colleges, and universities are designed to lower schools' overall energy costs and to put those savings back into mission-critical budgets.
To accomplish the energy savings, Chevron Energy Solutions designs and oversees installation of high-efficiency equipment that we guarantee will provide schools with enough energy and operational savings each yeartypically 15 percent to 30 percent or moreto fund the capital improvements and facility infrastructure upgrades that they need now. All of this
is accomplished with no up-front costs.
We understand the budget constraints that schools are under when it comes to capital improvement projects and deferred maintenance. That's why we've structured the financing programs as performance contracts. These types of financial contracts allow our education customers to pay for the energy savings programs out of future guaranteed energy savings. As a result, schools can leverage future energy savings to pay for the program today. And as soon as the project is paid for, all savings can be used at their
discretion to support educational programs that directly impact the students.
Our team of experts works with schools to:
- Audit and identify energy savings opportunities
- Engineer a self-funded equipment retrofit/upgrade program
- Provide utility rate analysis and optimization
- Work to arrange/identify supply side strategies
- Assess power systems and generation opportunities
- Evaluate power quality and reliability needs
- Identify and manage rebates
- Organize financing where needed
- Provide project and construction management services
- Provide maintenance and operational recommendations
- Track and monitor energy usage
- Utilize web-based metering tools for energy use optimization
