Chevron Energy Solutions' energy efficiency and renewable power projects help conserve and extend finite hydrocarbon resources. They also reduce greenhouse gas emissions by reducing demand for electricity that would otherwise be produced by local fossil-fuel power plants.

In addition to its expertise in the installation of conventional distributed generation systems, Chevron Energy Solutions has experience in installing solar electric and stationary fuel cell technologies and will help commercialize these technologies as market demand grows.

Some of our recent alternative energy project work includes:

  • California's first 1-megawatt-class fuel cell power plant at the Alameda County Santa Rita Jail in Dubin, CA.
  • A hybrid solar/fuel cell power plant at a major mail processing facility in San Francisco, CA.
  • An innovative biofuel project at a water pollution control plant that will produce on-site electricity from restaurant kitchen grease, reduce power purchases, create energy savings, and generate revenues for the City of Millbrae, CA.
  • The first commercially operating stationary fuel cell power plant in the Bay Area at Chevron in San Ramon, CA.
